What is the latest in the Revit world?

Besides there being a new 2016 version available and the fact that from 2016 you are not going to be able to buy perpetual licenses there are two big steps: first, for those who like to go further than a regular Revit User, you can push the boundaries through DYNAMO. As of this past month DYNAMO is not only inside Revit, but any NON-Revit User can create and explore this tool. It also works with other packages such as Rhinoceros. The second big feature is A360 Collaboration for Revit.

A360 is a Cloud Subscription service that works with Revit software to connect building project teams with centralized access to BIM project data in the cloud. Teams stay connected in real time using the Communicator chat tool within models. Integrated with Autodesk A360, Collaboration for Revit enables the entire project team to work on shared building information models, meaning that your central file is in the cloud and that all team members have access no matter where they are. This means that you no longer have to send the model to the consultants, as they can now work directly in the cloud...guaranteeing that everyone is using the most up-to-date model.

Do you want to explore the model without Revit? Of course you can with A360, make a walkthrough, review properties, create a 3d section etc…

Do you want to communicate with consultants or team members, send an image, make comments about the model? Not a problem, you can use the CHAT tools INSIDE Revit to do so, and you can also save your conversations.
